I’m an instructor, researcher, and licensed clinical psychologist. I have held full-time faculty appointments at Yale University, Long Island University, and Indiana University. Having been trained as both a social and clinical psychologist, I have broad interests spanning multiple areas. My socially oriented research has focused on beauty, body image, and romantic relationships. My second, and primary, interest focuses on understanding the role of personality in both social behavior and psychopathology. My textbook, Personality in Relationships: How our personality affects who, how, and how well we love bridges these two major areas. This website is dedicated to the dissemination, and application, of knowledge in the field of personality science.
